Sunday Church at the Box Heart Gallery in Pittsburgh

This last Sunday Church was at the Box Heart Gallery in the Bloomfield area of Pittsburgh. I got ti check out this work by Sara Catapano. I like it a lot. It reminds me of some of the work done by the Chicago Imagists, who I'm also a big fan of.

Secret Drawing Club Saturday

This last Saturday I had a Secret Drawing Club session at the Lawrenceville Library in Pittsburgh. Last Thursday night I got a boxer's fracture on my right hand. Friday I got a splint put on. I've been drawing with it on ever since. I'm actually drawing as I post this. The splint is pretty frustrating. It was actually easier to draw with my hand Friday morning before I got the splint. Oh well. It's all a part of my Genma Saotome Anything Goes School of Applied Aesthetics training.

Sunday Church at the Carnegie in Pittsburgh

Last Sunday Church at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh. I love Christian Art, probably because I was raised Catholic. I think Catholicism is the best religion to raise artists. The symbols and visuals are intense. Hinduism might be on par or even better, I can’t really compare them though because I was only raised in the one.

Church at the Warhol in Pittsburgh

Church at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. I liked it a lot, more than I expected. Hazel liked the balloon room after we could convince her to play with the balloons. (Balloon room not photographed)

Secret Drawing Club at the Lawrenceville Library

Back at the Lawrenceville Library for the first Secret Drawing Club of 2018. It was super cold, -18. Walking to the library felt like an accomplishment. Then I finally started inking this piece from 1999, which was another accomplishment.
